Process

/ Introduction

Start your dream home journey with a consultation with our in-house design team. We will help guide you through every detail, including interiors, budget and aesthetics until we present your ideal home. We will take on site visits to engaged our clients with the team, DAME Build encourages a close partnership within every project!

/ Drawing

DAME Build will gather all relevant information for your floorplan by undertaking precise measurements of your block of land to understand the requirements needed. Site visits include undertake assessments which involve surveys and soil testing. From the information founded, DAME Build will be able to provide an indicative cost of the ideas laid out in the initial meeting.

/ Payments

DAME Build’s pricing will alter from job to job, we will continue adding in the total amount of your project as it progresses into the construction stage. Progress payments are required in accordance with the Housing Industry Association (HIA) standard payment schedule, comprising six staged payments that collectively represent 100% of the contract value: which will include, framing, lock-up, fixing and final.

/ Contract & Design

Attention to detail is our specialty! Whilst we develop the documentation pack, we provide you with a contract. Once the contract is signed, our Interior Design team will guide you into the exiting phase, to select colours, lighting, fixtures and fittings to bring your dream home to life. Once we are in this stage, we provide you with a comprehensive ‘fixed price’ quotation that contains every detail about your custom build. DAME Build ensures that we allow for cost allowances prior to commencing the final working drawings and final engineering.

/ Approvals & Permits

Our team can handle all necessary approvals and permits, navigating the landscape to ensure your project complies with building codes and a Building Permit is easily obtained. Ensuring everything is approved before construction begins allows not only DAME Build but our clients progress into building easy without any issues.

/ Construction Begins

With a focus on quality over quantity and craftsmanship, our skilled team executes the construction phase efficiently and professionally, keeping our clients informed at every step. Throughout construction your project is managed by one of our experienced onsite supervisors, whom you will be encouraged to meet with regularly to review progress. In addition, you will work closely with our Client Relations Manager to finalise all administration aspects.

/ Handover

Your new custom DAME Build home is now complete and its time to carry out a practical completion inspection. In this meeting, you’ll be asked to inspect your new home and any issues that need some last-minute final attention will be noted on a list that will be signed by both parties. Now its time to settle your final account as we arrange keys and prepare for final handover. DAME Build will provide a comprehensive handover package containing working drawings, specifications, engineering, all compliance certificates, energy rating reports, soil report, warranties, manuals, keys, remote controls, and instructions, everything you need to know about your beautiful new custom home.
