DAME Build recently completed an exciting home renovation project in the vibrant suburb of Northcote. This comprehensive makeover encompassed multiple areas of the residence, including a stunning kitchen renovation , powder room upgrade, and various improvements throughout the property. Our team was tasked with implementing a modern, functional, and aesthetically pleasing living space that would meet the clients' needs and exceed their expectations.
Client Brief
Our clients approached us with a vision to breathe new life into their Northcote home. They desired a space that would blend contemporary design with practical features, making their daily lives more comfortable and efficient. The primary focus areas were the kitchen and powder room, but the project also included updates to flooring, electrical systems, and overall aesthetics.
Design Stage
During the design phase, our clients worked with Outside Inside to design their dream residential fitout and create a cohesive space they enjoy. Key design elements included a modern kitchen with a blend of light and natural-toned cabinetry, a refreshed powder room with a statement basin and custom cabinetry, new flooring to unify the living spaces, and thoughtful lighting design to enhance the ambiance.
Home Updates
Beyond the kitchen and powder room, our home renovation project included several other home improvements. We installed 54 square meters of Pallido Plank 9mm Select flooring, creating a cohesive look throughout the living areas. A complete electrical provision was implemented to ensure the home meets modern standards and supports all new appliances and lighting fixtures. Comprehensive plumbing work was carried out to accommodate the new kitchen layout, powder room fixtures, and laundry facilities.
In addition to the kitchen, we installed custom pantry cabinets to maximise storage and organisation. Careful attention was paid to wall and ceiling finishes, including fire check work and a fresh coat of paint to revitalise the space. The project was completed with meticulous caulking, skirting board installation, and custom ductwork for the range hood.
Kitchen Renovation
The kitchen renovation was a central focus of this project, aiming to create a space that was both beautiful and highly functional. The new kitchen features two-tone cabinetry, with Laminex Chalk White Natural for base units and Laminex Dansk Maple Natural for overhead cabinets. High-end hardware, including Fornel DL419 brushed Inox Anodised handles, adds a touch of sophistication. Premium organisational features such as Tandembox drawers, lift-up doors, LeMans II Corner Units, and a pull-out waste bin system enhance the kitchen's functionality. The centrepiece is an engineered stone benchtop made of 20mm Dekton Natural Stone by Consentino. State-of-the-art appliances, including provisions for a dishwasher and refrigerator, complete this chef's dream kitchen.
Powder Room Renovation
The powder room renovation was an opportunity to create a striking visual impact in a compact space. The design incorporated a blush pink Nood Shelf 01 Basin, adding a touch of elegance. Custom cabinetry in Laminex Enamel 8794 Natural Finish provided essential storage while maintaining a sleek appearance. Stylish wallpaper was chosen to add personality and depth to the space. High-quality tiling completed the polished look. This bathroom renovation showcases how attention to detail can transform even the smallest areas of a home into luxurious retreats.
